My name is Arleen and my son Patrick and I came to the Sheepfold three months ago. My house had been on the market for 2 years, I ran out of money, lost my home and had no where else to go. God said, "Will you let go and let me?" For the first time He didn't have to ask me twice!
My stay at the Sheepfold was more than I had expected. I thought I would be staying in a shelter with cots lined up! Instead I found a beautiful loving home. I grew in so many ways since coming here. There were difficult times, but God always handled them. The house managers encouraged me to continue moving forward, one step at a time. When I got discouraged looking for work they were always there to encourage me. Finally, one week ago a call came in for an interview for a job I had applied for. I went and they hired me on the spot.
Before coming here I was a foster mother to boys in need of a family. I had faith that some day God would open a door and I would once again be a foster mother.
Well, as it turned out, the job I was hired to do is working as a "house mother" for a boys' group home. What a blessing. When we wait on God, in His timing, everything is all right! He also provided a new home for Patrick and me, as this is a live-in position. No money worries, just look after His children.
I would like to give thanks to all of the House Managers at the Sheepfold and the staff in the office. You are truly Angels from God — doing His work.
The Lord taught me a lot in my stay at the Sheepfold. I have so much more to pass on to the boys in my new home and my son. Thank you and God bless you!
