Gloria's Story

I've been at the Sheepfold for several months and have learned so much about Jesus and His love for all of us. I have had success in the program. I now have an excellent job and have graduated to the Second Step of the Sheepfold program.

Now that I have Jesus in my heart, I've been praying for my unsaved family members and waiting for the right time to share my faith. This was a big struggle for me. When I was a child I had an uncle who changed his wild ways and became a born again Christian. Everyone in my family rejected him. I was afraid they wouldn't want me to be in their life, like my uncle, and I didn't want to be shut out by my family.

About a month ago that all changed when my mother suffered a mild stroke. I went to visit her in the hospital and as she slept, my brother Peter (13) and I prayed alongside her bed. When she awoke, I gathered my courage and told her how much Jesus loved her, and that her salvation depended on her receiving Him as Savior. That day my mom and Peter accepted the Lord into their hearts. I was amazed and overjoyed.

Being at the Sheepfold shelter with daily Bible studies and Godly wisdom and lots of encouragement, I now have the ability to share my faith without fear, and move forward into all that God has for me and my family. God Bless you all!
