Adrienne’s Story
|
|
This is wording from a Facebook post that we have permission to use from Adrienne Zieglar:
My children and I are well. You played such a huge role in our success. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Work so I can give back to DV advocacy.
I hope to one day come back to you all and share my testimony and maybe even volunteer as an advocate there. Two more years academically and I will be done. I want you all to know that what you do for us who have been victims of domestic violence is in comparison to none.
I always tell people that I love you guys and never felt safer anywhere like when we were with you; you all made it so that I could be self-sufficient again. Not only do you have a Jesus centered culture, you really care about your families! Thank you for everything you have done for my babies and I. I cannot thank you enough and I look forward to helping out when I graduate.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Driver Training School
A resident is starting her behind the wheel training! One goal some of our residents have is attaining their driver license. Doing so allows them to become more independent and provide safe transportation for their family.
After earning their license, they are able to receive a donated car. Having their own vehicle and not relying on public transportation makes a huge difference in their quality of life!
Your support and prayers for all the residents working towards independence is so appreciated!
