Dear Friends,

|
Please accept our heartfelt thanks to all of you who have partnered with us this past year. You are truly doers of the Word, not only hearers. When Jesus says, on that final judgement day, “Did you feed the hungry, did you give drink to the thirsty, did you clothe the naked and take in the stranger?” You will be able to answer, “Yes.”
As we enter our 41st year of serving abused and homeless mothers and children, I am amazed at your faithfulness to this ministry. Most of you are aware of our program’s daily Bible study, and many have told me that is why they support The Sheepfold—because we keep Christ in the center of our program.
However, not everyone believes as you do, in fact, we are denied grants from foundations because of our faith. In our view, the Word of God and a relationship with Jesus is more than helping someone today or tomorrow, it’s for eternity. Hope offered to the women and children who call The Sheepfold home, is more important than being qualified for a grant. Jesus made it very clear in John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.”
I will always remember our Founder, Fran Lundquist’s, advice to me, “John if we can’t share the Lord with the lost and hurting, then close the doors and do something else.”

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Volunteer Shares His Therapy Dog
Aaron Markel brings his therapy dog to visit the Sheepfold. He allows the kids to have close interaction, answers their questions and demonstrates doggie tricks. The kids get to pet the dog and he allows them to participate in helping with the tricks.
Our families always enjoy having them over!!
