Kim’s Story

I had no idea the impact Sheepfold would have on me and my family when we walked through those doors four years ago. When I needed a safe place to go, you were there for me and my daughter. You showed me how Jesus would guide me through my suffering and give me strength and courage to heal. Each day as I am faced with a variety of challenges, I manage to make it through with a sense of accomplishment. Through the Bible studies, guidance, love and understanding I received at the Sheepfold, I continue to lead a good Christian life and grow in my relationship with the Lord.

I remember how afraid and uncertain I was about the future when I first arrived at Sheepfold. I was scared and wanted the bad memories erased so I wouldn’t have to think about my abusive past. But I was gently guided down the healing path one day at a time and now I see why it takes so long. The enemy constantly tries to interrupt and throw me off course; however I will not give in. I will stay grounded and strong as I face life’s road blocks. The fear I used to carry around with me does not occupy my mind any more. I was able to start my life over; moving across the country with a fresh and joyful start. I have the Sheepfold to thank for the not-so-impossible journey I am on.

God knows exactly what I am capable of and I want to please Him and continue to be a faithful servant. I am proud to say I am a daughter of the Most High. I am most happy to say the Sheepfold is always on my mind.

Love Note

Thank you, Sheepfold, for all you have done for me and my kids. It has been a rough and bumpy road, but I know God has us here for a reason. The Sheepfold has helped me in so many ways; to be a better mom and the woman of God I have always wanted to be. I thought I would never feel love again, but you showed me love, God’s love!

Thank you to all who support the Sheepfold and are doing God’s good work to keep the houses running for moms like me with our kids. May God bless all of you a 100 fold. I’m so thankful for you all! May God always watch over and protect you and your loved ones. I love you all and hold you close to my heart. You gave me hope again!

God bless you,

Sheepfold Mom

Many Thanks for the Car

You have no idea how much you have changed our lives. Because of you, no more long rides on the bus. No more hot days, and no more having to stand in the rain. My daughter tells everyone that we have a beautiful car.

You have made us so very happy and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I don’t think we could ever thank you enough. May God continue to use you to do amazing things and bless you also in all that you do.

Thank you so very, very much!

Love,

Arlene, Sheepfold Resident

Amazing Helpers

National Charity League, Inc. (NCL, Inc.) is a non-profit, national organization of mother and daughter members in Chapters across the United States. The Mission of NCL, Inc. is to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.

My daughter, Mackenzie and I have been members of the Corona Chapter for the past year and we are excited that the Sheepfold is one of the philanthropies that NCL supports. Our group of mothers and daughters recently had the opportunity to wash the vans at one of the shelters.

Just knowing that the families will have a clean van to transport them to church or to take them to a Sheepfold Nights, put a smile on our faces.
