God is an AWESOME GOD?! |
|
Sometimes I feel sad, mad, angry, frustrated, then I remember there is a God Almighty watching over me. He listens to my prayers and takes away my pain almost instantly. He will do it for you too.
I spent two and a half years with my abuser. Every day I would hope to get away, but I didn’t have the strength to do it on my own. The last four months we were together, we were living in a car (myself, my abuser and my 2 children). I cried out to the Lord and He answered my prayers to get away and never go back to my abuser.
I thought my life wasn’t worth living after the abuse I experienced, but after talking to the Lord, I realized there is hope in God, and He does miracles.
I am enjoying my stay here at the Sheepfold. I need structure so I can get my life back together and be a loving mother. I wouldn’t be anything, if I didn’t know about the love Jesus has for my children and I. The Lord answers prayers!!

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

Saturday Nights
We are so thankful for the many volunteers who offer their time and talents to bless the Sheepfold residents! This past month Mary, her daughter Emily, and Karen came to a Saturday Night to do a bracelet making activity with our moms. Karen shared that she and Mary “love to share ‘creative activities’ with all those that God allows us to” and that doing this at the Sheepfold was special to them because both she and Mary’s “lives have been touched by single mom-hood.”
As you can see from the photos, each mom created a unique bracelet. Karen shared that she believes that “like our Heavenly Father, we too have creative genes and they just need the right opportunity to shine! The three of us were blessed to see each mom’s own uniqueness shine in their bracelet creations!” Thank you to Emily, Karen, and Mary for letting your creative genes shine through!
