It's a Wonderful Place

Before I came to the Sheepfold, I was in a relationship that was unhealthy for me, but I didn't realize it was affecting my son as well. The moment I realized it, I knew I had to get out.

I started to search for shelters and every shelter that I called was full. I remember praying to God that if it was His will for me to leave, He would open a door and I said to myself that I am going to call one last place.

I called the Sheepfold, and they only had one space available. God had answered my prayer. The Sheepfold has truly been a blessing for me and my son. We will take everything we learned and apply it wherever we go in life. I will never forget this wonderful place.

Thank you, Sheepfold, and thank you God!

Thank You to All Our Dedicated Volunteers!

Dear Sheepfold,

I'm a simple man born in Santa Ana, California who had a tough life growing up. My mom, two sisters, and I were homeless for a few years due to domestic violence. At the time, we didn't have an opportunity like the Sheepfold. Through God's plan to use Fran and her faithfulness and willingness to listen to the Lord, the Sheepfold is now available.

I have been blessed to be able to volunteer here throughout the years. I have seen many women and children go through the program and benefit from it. This is only possible because you work there! Whether you're in the Thrift Store or office doing the necessary paperwork and things that are needed to keep this ministry running; or if you are a House Manager making dinners, making sure everybody is doing what they're supposed to be doing, and conducting Bible studies. I guess what I'm saying is you are the light, the light that God calls us to be, to the kids, mothers and people like me.

After many years of volunteering, I have realized the Sheepfold's purpose is so much more than a place to live and a place to get food, it is God's provision for every family that you serve. Realizing what you have done working there at the Sheepfold has renewed me. My cup runs over with joy and amazement which has led me and my company to want to be more involved in supporting you. I think I can speak for all your volunteers in saying thank you so much for affecting so many lives in a positive way—including mine.

Breakfast Burritos!!

Some of our kiddos made breakfast burritos for our families! We are thankful for all the meals we get to have together at the Sheepfold!

Bible Study

The word of God is at the center of all we do here at the Sheepfold. Daily Bible studies are a vital part of the daily work that our residents participate in during the healing process.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

The Word of God transforms lives, that is why we love starting the day with a great cup of coffee and the Bread of life.

Healing Process

There are many stages in the healing process for our families. Some days in the process are great, somedays are not so great, and other days are in between.

The Sheepfold's staff is here to help support our families in the hard times and to celebrate the amazing moments. For our mothers the support on a hard day involves deep conversations and prayer. For our kids, hard days sometimes call for balloons.

Our staff will use whatever it takes to help our residents process the hard days while always reminding them that Jesus loves them, and so do we.

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead.
