Dear Sheepfold,
I'm a simple man born in Santa Ana, California who had a tough life growing up. My mom, two sisters, and I were homeless for a few years due to domestic violence. At the time, we didn't have an opportunity like the Sheepfold. Through God's plan to use Fran and her faithfulness and willingness to listen to the Lord, the Sheepfold is now available.
I have been blessed to be able to volunteer here throughout the years. I have seen many women and children go through the program and benefit from it. This is only possible because you work there! Whether you're in the Thrift Store or office doing the necessary paperwork and things that are needed to keep this ministry running; or if you are a House Manager making dinners, making sure everybody is doing what they're supposed to be doing, and conducting Bible studies. I guess what I'm saying is you are the light, the light that God calls us to be, to the kids, mothers and people like me.
After many years of volunteering, I have realized the Sheepfold's purpose is so much more than a place to live and a place to get food, it is God's provision for every family that you serve. Realizing what you have done working there at the Sheepfold has renewed me. My cup runs over with joy and amazement which has led me and my company to want to be more involved in supporting you. I think I can speak for all your volunteers in saying thank you so much for affecting so many lives in a positive way—including mine.
