Betty’s Story...

 

My stay at The Sheepfold has brought about countless blessings and changes to my life and the lives of my five children. All the changes thus far have been for the betterment of my family and have helped me grow and mature as an individual. I have been able to strengthen my parenting skills, my relationships with my children, my self-confidence, and my outlook on life. I will forever be grateful to the Sheepfold for all their help, support, and unwavering love during a time of great loss and pain. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

 

My favorite Bible verse: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11 NIV.

As a House Manager

 

Our goal is to create an environment where women and their children can learn about the Lord and find the rest, peace and safety they need. Recently one of our little ones was out and about running errands with his Mom, when he mentioned that he was ready to go back to the house. His mom was surprised and she asked him why. He responded, “Because I feel safe at the house.” His statement was encouraging for both his mom and us, as staff, to hear because it confirms that the Sheepfold continues to be a safe place in a chaotic world.

 

We thank God for Fran and her testimony, that led her to build this ministry, that so many years later is still providing hope and refuge for mothers and their children in Jesus name!
