Dear Sheepfold...

Thank You! I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude. First, to God and then to you, the Sheepfold. I'd like to thank God for bringing you all into my family's life. Thank you to the people that have shown us grace and understanding. I have been very blessed to be able to count on God's love, His patience and all the support everyone has given me.

Thank you for allowing me to share moments of joy and sadness with you and for teaching me through your experiences and lessons. Thank you for helping me to reflect the Lord's love and kindness. Thank you for opening the doors of the house of God and providing a roof for my children. The staff of the Sheepfold are all wonderful people that God has put in my path, and that of my children. Thank you for the months that have been the best for my children and me. Thank you for teaching us to love and trust in God.

Thanks to the Sheepfold, I can give my children a better future. My life has changed from being a victim to a victorious person the day I realized the authority that Jesus gives us. 2 Thessalonians 1:3 says, “We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for another is increasing.” Thanks again to everyone!

Reflection on God's Work

Our parents don't name us.
We don't name ourselves.

God names us before we were even
woven together in our mother's womb.

Jesus anoints us “son” and “daughter”
and brings us into His family, under His wing.

My family named me unwanted,
left behind, unloved, unprotected, forgotten.

Jesus names me Daughter,
loved, wanted, celebrated, and blessed.

The world named me worthless,
broken, and used.

Jesus calls me Daughter, protected,
precious, gifted, worthy, and gave me life.

I'm so grateful God came to me.
I'm so grateful that when I turned to Him,
He was already running toward me.

He gave me a purpose
within the body of Christ.
He has given me a home to rest and heal.

He's taken a horror story and turned
it into a life blessed through the Sheepfold.

He is building me up here,
restoring what the locusts have eaten,
and showing me what it means to be “daughter”
to a good and loving Father
inside of a new family.

Father, Immanuel, Prince of Peace,
Lion of Judah, my protector and my friend,
my life and heart are His.

Birthday Party Time

It always brings us such great joy to bless the mothers and children that we serve on their birthdays. We love filling their special day with their favorite things. Sometimes due to the domestic violence they had been experiencing in their lives, when we celebrate them it is the first birthday party that they have had in a long time.

Birthdays are a wonderful moment for us to remind our residents that the Lord loves them and has created them with purpose. Our prayer for them in their new year of life is to experience all that the Lord has created them for.

May their healing and growth become even richer in this new year and may the blessings of God be even more evident in their lives.

Grateful Family!

Dearest Car Donor,

Who knew that when you decided to gift your beautiful family van, you would truly be blessing my little family? You have brought so much joy and relief to our life.

Not only do I love our new van, but my daughter can't get enough! Every day she says, “I can't believe how big it is in here! I can even build a fort!”

Thank you so much for this new adventure. I can't wait for all the new memories to come. May God continue to bless you.

With Many Thanks and Love,

Arlene & Emily
